This embossed piece is a replica of one of the bas relief sculptures that appear at the ancient city of Persepolis - including the decay due to age. It depicts a charioteer from the Sasanian Era. At this point in Persian history, the chariot was used more for sport than for military applications. The hieroglyphics are also viewable at Persepolis.
