Item No. 1350

This is a ritoun, or drinking vessel, that was originally made for Persian kings ca. 500 BC.  This one features a bull's head, though ritouns featuring lions were common in this period as well.

The figure includes hieroglyphics at the base, just as they appear at the ruins of Persepolis today.

This figure measures 6" x 3.5" x 3.25" (15 x 9 x 8 cm).
