This relief sculpture is of Shapur I, a Sassanian king, ca. 241 AD.  It is an exact replica of a relief carving made at the ancient city of Persepolis.  The sculpture shows markings they appear today - even the signs of age and wear - on the walls of Persepolis.

This item would make an excellent gift for art lovers, historians, or anyone who wishes to bring the spirit of ancient Persia into their home or office.
